Our Commitment to Privacy

Aquila VPN is built on the principle that your online activity should remain private. We are designed not to log or monitor the content of your browsing activity, DNS queries, or the traffic payload transmitted through the VPN tunnel. We also do not intentionally maintain activity logs designed to reconstruct the websites you visit or the content you access through the VPN service.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We do not store your password in plain text. Your email address is used for account verification, password resets, subscription notices, service communications, and support.

Payment Information

Payments may be processed securely through Stripe or through platform payment methods such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, depending on how you subscribe. We do not store or have access to your full card or wallet payment credentials. Our payment providers may provide us with limited transaction information, such as your subscription status, transaction ID, payment method type, billing status, and partial reference details needed for billing support and recordkeeping.

Technical Data

We may collect limited technical and operational data needed to maintain, secure, and improve the service. This may include aggregate bandwidth metrics, service performance data, crash diagnostics, fraud-prevention signals, and account or device-related events necessary for authentication, abuse prevention, and support. Where possible, we use aggregated or de-identified information and avoid using this data to monitor the content of your VPN traffic.

Website Analytics

Our marketing website may use analytics, cookies, or similar technologies to understand visitor trends, improve site performance, and measure marketing effectiveness. Website analytics data is kept separate from VPN traffic content and is handled in accordance with this policy and any cookie notices we make available.

What We Do Not Collect Through the VPN Tunnel

Some limited connection, authentication, billing, security, and support records may still be processed outside the VPN traffic layer in order to operate the service.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We retain account, billing, support, security, and operational information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and protect the service. When you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal information within a commercially reasonable period unless we are required or permitted to retain certain information for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or backup purposes. Anonymous or aggregated information may be retained for longer periods.

Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. These measures may include encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring, and other reasonable security practices appropriate to the nature of the information we process. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-Party Services

We use third-party service providers to support the operation of Aquila VPN, such as payment providers, hosting or infrastructure vendors, analytics tools, email delivery providers, customer support tools, and security services. These providers may process personal information on our behalf subject to contractual, legal, or operational safeguards. Payment-related information may be processed by providers such as Stripe, Apple Pay, Google Pay, the Apple App Store, or Google Play, depending on how you subscribe.

Legal Requests

We may disclose information when required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or a valid governmental request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, users, systems, or the public. Because our service is designed not to retain the content of VPN browsing activity or traffic payloads, we may have limited VPN activity information available to disclose. Where legally permitted and reasonably practicable, we may notify affected users of such requests.

Your information may be processed in countries other than the country in which you reside. Where required, we take appropriate steps to provide safeguards for cross-border data transfers in accordance with applicable law.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or request portability of certain processing. You may also request account deletion by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity before responding to certain requests, and some rights may be limited by applicable law.
